Need an experienced person to repair a cracked concrete/cement front porch balustrade / handrail. ISSUE • The top balustrade/handrail section has cracked and separated at a joint. • The balustrade appears to be made of concrete/cement (not timber). • I want the existing section repaired and reinforced so it becomes solid again. • This is an external front porch/stair balustrade, so the repair must be durable and safe. SCOPE OF WORK (REPAIR EXISTING SECTION – NOT FULL REPLACEMENT) • Inspect the cracked section and surrounding balustrade • Check for any movement or looseness • Remove loose or failed patch material if required • Clean and prepare the crack/joint properly • Repair and reinforce the section using suitable exterior masonry/concrete repair methods • Patch and rebuild the shape/profile neatly to match existing structure • Smooth and finish repair area • Repaint repaired area to match existing colour if included • Clean up and remove waste IMPORTANT •I do NOT want a simple cosmetic filler job. • Repair should be durable and suitable for outdoor weather exposure. • Please only respond if you have experience with concrete/cement/render or masonry repairs. Internal stairs - We have taken the old handrails out and want to cut down some of the gyprock on the stairs and install glass baluatrade.
