I have a very basic Singer Start 1306 sewing machine that’s 1.5yrs old. Had been working fine until recently, now the needle snaps frequently (just on thin cotton fabrics) and the thread often jams up, I’m not sure if it’s a tension issue or something. The dress is a long, pleated style with an inner lining, so experience with pleating and structured garments is highly preferred.
