Sewing machine works yet the reverse lever does nothing i don’t see it change anything in the feed-dog area so I think it needs to be opened up and reconnected somewhere but I don’t know how to do so

My dog thought it'd be fun to misbehave under the awful influence of my friends dog, and she got a hold of my sons favourite onesie. I'm hoping someone that knows how to use a sewing machine can put it back together. I'd do it by hand, but that's quite time-consuming and time is something I don't have much of atm due to packing/organising to travel Aus in about a week.
