Preparing the roof structure
Next, your hired roof installer prepares the rafters and other parts that make up the underlying roof structure. This can include cleaning the roof supports and underlying base of dirt, dust and debris to ready them for applying adhesives if appropriate.Â
Some roof installation specialists can offer to reinforce the roof support structure or install a new one if necessary, but note that these can cost extra. You may consider hiring a carpenter to strengthen the underlying supports. They can cut whatever materials are required of the roof to the right lengths, widths and thicknesses.Â
Installing the roof components
Once the rafters and materials are ready, your roofer proceeds to install the roof. They do this methodically and install, cut, attach, nail or glue each component in the right order and with the appropriate tools. Finishing touches

Some roofers may offer to install guttering systems as part of the service, but some may charge extra. Your roofer may conduct a final check and make small adjustments to ensure that all your roof components fit right. Roof is corrugated metal, internal ceiling is also corrugated with only a layer of insulation in between (no roof cavity) so should just involve cutting through both sheets and sealing/securing the vent. The fan is mounted to the ceiling of a bathroom pod which is accessible from inside the room - there is clearance between the ceiling of the bathroom pod and the room ceiling. Date negotiable but prefer ASAP.

Need roof flashing installed and silicon sealant placed. Internal inspection of water leak as well if able to. Roof report available From the report "qualified contractor to re-seal the joints to the flashing and the flat roof sheets, the sealant to the AC vent penetrations and the AC duct seams. We recommend the flashing at the pitched roof and flat roof sheet junction to be extended in width to cover further down the flat roof sheets, especially the end of the roof sheets where they are bent and allow for water to pond. We also recommend a pan flashing to be installed over the roof sheets that butt in to the AC vent and also over the AC vent itself to cover over the seams. Recommendations installation of additional pan flashings and extension of the flashing over the flat roof sheets to provide a more long term solution with minimised requirement for maintenance.
