Looking for an experienced pool technician to repair a sand filter and clean the pool. Location: Allara Ave, North Turramurra , NSW. Over the past few weeks, fine sand has been leaking into the pool and the water has become green/cloudy. There is now sand sitting on the bottom of the pool. I have been advised that the internal laterals or standpipe inside the sand filter may be damaged. Pool details: • Salt water pool (~18,000L) • Sand filter with Praher multiport valve • Filter system approximately 10 years old Work required: • Inspect sand filter system • Open filter and check internal laterals / standpipe • Replace broken laterals or internal parts if required • Remove old filter sand and supply/install new filter sand • Reassemble filter and ensure system is operating correctly • Vacuum the pool to remove sand from the bottom • Basic pool clean so the water becomes clear again Photos of the pool and filter system are attached. We have an outdoor spa which is a part of the pool. It's been leaking and water dropped below the jets. We dug and exposed the pipes between the filter and concrete slab that the pool sitting on but didn't find any leaking. So we suspected that it's the fault from the jets. There's a leak on the pool pump and hence pump seal keeps getting lost. Need someone to fix the pump so can use Pool pump for party on the weekend.

I need someone to relay my pool plumbing to (A) remove an old chlorine feeder line that is no long used, (B) to remove an old pool pump that used to dive a polaris pool cleaner, (C) to turn the old polaris inlet into another return, and (D) to replace the 2 stopper values that no longer seem to stop the water when moved to the stop water flow position. Hey Airtaskers! I’m reaching out regarding our pool at our rental property. We’ve had an issue with the skimmer box and poor suction from the vacuum. Instead of replacing it (as pool shop quoted a few thousand dollars), I decided to repair it myself. The skimmer box is now working perfectly, but unfortunately, something went wrong with the sand filter afterwards. Since then, I’ve let the pool go, and it’s become quite green and dirty. We just extended our lease for another two years, so I’d really love to get the pool properly fixed and maintained again. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can: • Drain, clean, and repair the pool (especially the sand filter – I suspect the issue is with the sand inside). • Then provide regular maintenance afterwards.
