We need a qualified electrician to supply & replace the battery capacitor in our pool pump. Quote amount is for labour - will pay the electrician for the cost of the capacitor seperately (cash upon receipt). The capacitor needs to be a like-for-like replacement which has the same capacitance & voltage. Voltage is important as this is a 'run' capacitor and not just a 'start' capacitor. The size is quite thick and could maybe get the dimensions if needed. Since we are paying for the cost of the supplied capacitor, we would prefer it to be purchased from a local electrical wholesaler (so it's a reliable quality) and not from an online seller (ebay/amazon etc...) If there are any questions then please ask.

looking for servicing pool filter, sand media needs to replace. the O ring mayneeds to replace also, there is small amount of water leaks at the top.

I have a 1 year old Lay-Z-Spa which has an air leak or multiple air leaks in the vinyl that makes it slowly deflate. I located a couple of leaks and tried to repair the vinyl myself with heavy duty tape and supa glue but hasn't been effective. Otherwise the spa is fine and works well. I will completely empty the spa of water and will then require someone with experience repairing these types of things to look closely at the 2 x existing tiny leaks I've found and locate any others the spa may have if any. After that, repair them properly so the spa will be fully inflated without air leaks once again.

I need someone to relay my pool plumbing to (A) remove an old chlorine feeder line that is no long used, (B) to remove an old pool pump that used to dive a polaris pool cleaner, (C) to turn the old polaris inlet into another return, and (D) to replace the 2 stopper values that no longer seem to stop the water when moved to the stop water flow position. All the pipes are above ground so there is no (or very very limited) digging involved.

Hey Airtaskers! I’m reaching out regarding our pool at our rental property. We’ve had an issue with the skimmer box and poor suction from the vacuum. Instead of replacing it (as pool shop quoted a few thousand dollars), I decided to repair it myself. The skimmer box is now working perfectly, but unfortunately, something went wrong with the sand filter afterwards. Since then, I’ve let the pool go, and it’s become quite green and dirty. We just extended our lease for another two years, so I’d really love to get the pool properly fixed and maintained again. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can: • Drain, clean, and repair the pool (especially the sand filter – I suspect the issue is with the sand inside). • Then provide regular maintenance afterwards.
