Have just installed a washing machine and require the pipes to be attached to underneath the laundry sink using the correct connections

Blocked laundry drain because tree roots from backyard.

Water has seeped down through the gap behind the sink (See images labelled 1 & 2) and rotted away the wooden block supporting it. Image 3 shows the area under the sink. Image 4 shows the area to the right and points to the wood which has not been rotted away to give you an idea what it previously looked like. I think what is needed is simply to install another supporting block underneath the sink and to seal it from the top and/or bottom. I am open to other suggestions if I am mistaken or if there is a better way. - Due date: Flexible
