A plumber come to my unit where I live and he find out the diagnosed, but he never give me the quote, so I need someone to email me a quote by email then I will release the funds. He said this is the problem he believe there is a water leak in the wall causing the hot water to drain very quickly this needs to be addressed as an emergency. On the quote I need to know what needs to be done and completed so I can forward it to the owner to get repaired.

Question I live in a 1 bedroom unit rental the hot water service is connected with solar panel. I’ve been told my hot water runs out in 15/20mins is that correct ? As every time I’m in the shower for at least 15/20 mins the water runs out and it goes cold, is that normal to do that ? Please advise if you can ? Thank you

We are having our gas hot water heater replaced with electric, but before that is done, we need to repair the wall behind the current gas unit while there is an opportunity. The problem is that the current gas unit is against the wall which doesn't allow access. To keep the hot water flowing, we need to temporarily relocated the unit away from the wall (as much as we can) for a few days before the unit is removed entirely.

Hi, I need someone experienced with progressive mixer taps to check my wall-mounted bathroom basin tap. The issue is that when I turn the mixer towards hot water, the water flow becomes very strong and the temperature gets very hot quickly. It is difficult to control the hot water safely and accurately, and the basin fills up very fast during normal use. I am renting, so I am looking for someone who can check if there is a practical solution without replacing the whole tap/mixer, if possible. Please let me know if you have experience with this type of progressive mixer and if you can help diagnose or adjust the issue.

I turned gas off for a few days, couldn't turn back on the gas hot water system.

I have a minor water leak at my hot water meter. The leak appears to be coming from the compression/union nut directly below the meter (downstream of the isolation valve). A plumber previously applied thread tape, which stopped the leak temporarily, but it has returned. I suspect the olive or fitting needs replacing/reseating. There is an old 1970’s granny flat that has been un used for years.
