Lawn Mowing: Community Project (Canberra Inner North) We’re working on a small community project to tidy up nature strips outside several properties where residents are unable to maintain them due to illness, personal circumstances, or because the properties are vacant. * Mowing 5-6 nature strips in Turner . * Nature strips in this area are generally on the larger side, so please allow for this when quoting. * A corner property with two nature strips would count as two. * An unusually large or oversized nature strip may count as 1.5 or two, depending on its size. * We estimate the entire job will take no more than two hours, including travel and setup, depending on your equipment. * No significantly overgrown nature strips will be included. Grass will not exceed approximately 30 cm in height. * Hazards and obstacles such as fallen tree branches, litter and other visible debris will be removed before mowing. * No green waste removal is required. Grass clippings can be left on the nature strips. * No access to private properties is necessary. Equipment A ride-on mower may make the work quicker and easier, particularly given the size of some nature strips. However, you’re equally welcome to quote using a push mower or other suitable equipment. One of the benefits of this project is that you can complete the work at your convenience. There’s no need to coordinate appointments with residents or arrange access to properties. You’re welcome to fit the work around your existing commitments, including weekdays, weekends, mornings or evenings, subject to reasonable noise restrictions. You can also work around the weather and choose a suitable day to complete the mowing.
