I currently have a five-year-old Brivis ducted heating unit installed in the ceiling of my home. While the unit functions properly, the annual servicing has been consistently problematic. The servicing company frequently raises concerns about the limited space available in the ceiling, which makes it difficult for them to perform maintenance effectively. Additionally, they have pointed out issues with the original installation, specifically the bottom plate, which they claim was not installed correctly. They have advised that the bottom plate should be replaced by the original technician; however, the technician has been uncooperative, and addressing this issue now is neither straightforward nor practical. Due to these ongoing challenges, I am considering replacing the gas heating unit with a more energy-efficient electric system. My home is a four-bedroom, two-story house with approximately 10 ducts. The cooling system is a refrigerated cooling unit that shares the same ductwork. I am seeking a solution that minimizes future maintenance difficulties while improving energy efficiency and seamlessly integrating with the existing ducted cooling system.

This is for a 2-storey unit. Replace a old Honeywell gas ducted heating thermostat with a new digital thermostat and repair the gas heater that is in the 2nd storey roof, as it seems to trip once in a while. We moved here recently but I was told by the previous resident that it used to happen earlier as well.
