Curtain installation
Your professional installer will measure and mark where the curtain brackets will go, making sure that the curtains will completely cover the window. Next, they’ll secure the brackets in place with screws and place the rod on the brackets, checking that the rod is level. If your Tasker is placing the brackets between wall studs, they may use plastic screw anchors to prevent the screws from coming out and damaging the walls. Finally, they’ll add the curtain rings to the rod, then secure the rod in place with more screws.
Curtain track installation
While there is a variety of curtain tracks available, most installations will start by measuring the space to determine where to fit the brackets. They’ll screw the brackets into place and fit the curtain tracking, ready for installing your curtain.
Shades/roller blind installation
It’s common to book blind and curtain installation together if you need both types of window coverings. For shades, also known as roller blinds, your installer will first measure and mark the area where the mounting brackets are going to be placed on the window frame. Next, they’ll drill holes into the marks before securing the mounting brackets on the marked area with screws, making sure that the male and female pieces go on the correct sides of the window. Finally, they’ll click the shades into place and fix in a tensioning device to secure the adjusting chain.
Curtain rod repair
Broken rods may be repaired or replaced, depending on the type and extent of the damage. If the rod bracket has been pulled out of the wall, your repairer will start by removing the curtain rod and drilling holes through the wall above and below where it was mounted. They’ll place small plastic anchors through each of these holes, before reattaching the curtain mounts to these anchors. Alternatively, your contractor may choose to repair the hole and re-attach your curtain mounts in a slightly different spot. If the curtain rod has been bent, your handyman may also be able to straighten it out using tools before re-hanging.

Need a quote to fix up the curtain rods. Our curtains in the living room close and open using a traverse rod and strings. Our 10y.o seems to have pulled the strings too hard causing one end of the curtain rod anchor ripped out of the dry wall. The wall now needs a bit of patching and some extra support to ensure the rod will stay in the wall when reinstalled. After the rods are installed, need to put back our curtains. Seeking Handyman please. Two curtain rods installed - one window is 1.5metres wide and the other is 2.5 metres wide. Rods to extend outside these measurements. Brick and plaster, will need plugs (I don't know if they are in the pack) and your own tools, maybe a ladder. Back door requires a seal three sides (top, both sides) and I will purchase the bottom one which I can do. Tighten hose clamp on washing machine.
