looking for a reliable, practical handyman to help knock over a heap of odd jobs around my home. There are quite a few different things that need doing, so it’s honestly too hard to list everything individually. I’m not looking for a qualified builder or specialist tradesperson. Just someone who’s handy with tools, knows how to use a hammer, screwdriver, drill and tape measure, and can work things out as they go. Jobs will generally involve basic repairs, fixing things, installing things, assembling items and general maintenance around the house. Because the blinds are different brands, standard double brackets won't work. Looking for a custom/makeshift workaround (e.g., a simple timber mounting block or modified bracket base) to secure both individual rollers together safely and functionally. I did a rollerbilnd job on a commercial project. I accidentally forgot to install the mandatory chain safety tensioners on 2 roller blinds before leaving site. Rather than driving back for such a small job, I'm looking for someone local to help. The job is very straightforward and should take less than 5 minutes for anyone with basic handyman experience. Requirements: Supply 2 roller blind chain safety tensioners / blind cord guides (available from Bunnings). Install them onto the wall using either: screws (preferred), or quality double-sided tape if more suitable. Clip the blind chains into the guides so they are correctly tensioned. This is a commercial site with easy access during business hours. I'll upload a photo of the required part so there's no confusion.
