Looking for an experienced carpenter to install skirting boards and architraves in an apartment. SCOPE OF WORKS: Install skirting boards throughout an apartment. The existing walls are brick with plaster finish, and the flooring is hybrid floating floors. Estimated 36m total (see floor plan). Will also need to install architraves to approx. 6 doorways, which do not currently have any architraves (metal doorframe flush with plaster wall and painted). MATERIALS: I am seeking a labour-only quote, and will pay separately for materials. I will require your instruction/guidance on: -Suitable skirting board & architrave profiles and dimensions; -Quantities required (including wastage allowance); -Any other required materials. I am hoping to purchase and paint the skirting boards & architraves prior to installation. Alternatively, if preferred, you can source and supply the materials and I will reimburse the cost, but would require separate quotes on this prior to approval. SITE: Third Floor apartment. No lifts (2x flights of stairs, approx. 15 stairs each). Apartment is furnished. There is an outdoor balcony and a downstairs garage available for setting up a drop saw/cutting station. Contractor to provide all tools and equipment required for works. QUOTE: When quoting, please provide a quote for labour price and approximate timeframe for completing the task. Hello, We are looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter to repair water-damaged timber skirting board and the lower section of a timber door frame/jamb. The original water leak has already been repaired, so there is no ongoing water issue. As shown in the photos, there is some deterioration/rot and damage to the timber around the bottom of the door frame and adjacent skirting board. We are looking for someone to: • Assess the extent of the damaged timber • Remove any damaged/rotted sections as required • Repair or replace the affected timber/skirting • Ensure the repaired area is solid, neat and properly finished • Sand, fill and prepare the area for painting • Repaint the repaired sections so they blend in with the existing door frame/skirting We are after a quality, neat finish, as this is inside our home and we are preparing the property for sale. Timing: We need the job completed by Wednesday 26th August. We work from home most days, so there is some flexibility around the day/time and we can generally provide access during business hours. The Issue: A section of the black vinyl skirting board at the base of our pre-test room wall has completely detached from the wall. It is bowing outwards into the walkway, creating a distinct trip hazard for our staff and patients. The Job: The task is to re-secure the skirting board flat against the wall. The scope of work will involve: 1. Preparing the area by cleaning off old, failed adhesive from the back of the skirting trim and the plasterboard wall. 2. Supplying and applying a heavy-duty, commercial-grade contact adhesive or high-tack construction adhesive. 3. Pressing and securing the skirting board firmly back into place so it sits flat and flush, especially around the corner near the door frame. 4. Cleaning off any excess adhesive for a neat, professional finish.
