Source, cut, replace and paint approx 1.5m of 8cm high square edge skirting board. Most of the existing MDF skirting board has already been removed after water damage. Would like replaced with PVC or something waterproof, as it is near a laundry that has previously flooded. Also need flat cover trims replaced in 3 doorways in bronze/gold. Hello, We are looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter to repair water-damaged timber skirting board and the lower section of a timber door frame/jamb. The original water leak has already been repaired, so there is no ongoing water issue. As shown in the photos, there is some deterioration/rot and damage to the timber around the bottom of the door frame and adjacent skirting board. We are looking for someone to: • Assess the extent of the damaged timber • Remove any damaged/rotted sections as required • Repair or replace the affected timber/skirting • Ensure the repaired area is solid, neat and properly finished • Sand, fill and prepare the area for painting • Repaint the repaired sections so they blend in with the existing door frame/skirting We are after a quality, neat finish, as this is inside our home and we are preparing the property for sale. Hello, I have a 2.5x2m WIR that I need to have the skirting boards and cornice removed, as I have ordered ikea PAX wardrobes to be installed I attempted doing it myself (see image) until I realised the carpet was in the way and I gave up 😅 Can confirm skirting board is currently held in with nails (not glue) Essentially I need the skirting and cornice removed, and any holes nail holes puttied /sanded. I guess make it look as tidy as possible as there will be a section that the new units won't cover. Flexible on days but would appreciate sooner the better.

The Issue: A section of the black vinyl skirting board at the base of our pre-test room wall has completely detached from the wall. It is bowing outwards into the walkway, creating a distinct trip hazard for our staff and patients. The Job: The task is to re-secure the skirting board flat against the wall. The scope of work will involve: 1. Preparing the area by cleaning off old, failed adhesive from the back of the skirting trim and the plasterboard wall. 2. I tried doing it myself but struggled to get them off cleanly and ended up damaging some of the plasterboard wall in the process.
