Fix squeaky floorboards — access from under house - Single-storey floorboard on stumps. Squeaks through the kitchen, dining and hallway, plus a few small patches in the bedrooms — roughly 25m² of affected area in total. The problem - It's not nail squeak. The noise is boards rubbing against each other side-to-side, so surface fixes like re-nailing or screwing from above won't solve it. See the attached photos and can provide video on request. Access - Underfloor access via a hatch. Clearance runs from about 1.5m down to 0m across a slanted subfloor. Some sections are a tight crawl, but previous assessments confirm the affected areas are reachable. What's been suggested - Working from underneath: gluing and screwing sub-floor timbers to the underside of the floorboards. That said, I'm open to other approaches. Need an experienced flooring installer to lay laminate/hybrid floorboards in two bedrooms and a hallway. The floor is ready to go. We’ve already removed the tiles, carpet and skirting boards, so it’s prepared for installation. I completed the flooring in the other half of the house but don’t have time to finish this section.
