We have floating floors which are glued on to solid wooden floors. The job is to carefully chisel or cut out about 16 boards and reinstate new boards on top, glueing and nailing them. Over time, the surface of these boards has become damaged by traffic and water which is why we want to have about 10 of these boards replaced. The boards are very firmly glued down to the underlying solid timber floors. Getting them out is not easy and requires both a fair bit of force as well as very careful work in order to not damage the surrounding boards. Please let us know your experience with this sort of work. Any questions please ask. A site inspection in Kensington would be a good idea. We have a room and half that need floorboard installation. We will already have the existing carpet removed, all old underlay removed, the floors cleaned, any trimming that needs removing etc . it will be ready to lay. I already have the new underlay, brand new floating floorboards and new trims. We are looking for the most affordable option to have these floorboards installed. in total from my calculations it comes to roughly 35 square meters

We have the floorboards. We need a quote to lay the boards. Strata need the builder to provide the builders licence, an acoustic report on the underlay being used because there is an apartment above and below us. Unless you can provide all this information with your quote we cannot proceed with strata. We need to submit all documents for their consideration.
