Top Bootcamp Training related questions
In some ways, yes. Bootcamp training can be a more positive experience as you train with a group of people. You may make new friends in this training setup, and it’s more fun to exercise with a group! Most bootcamp training sessions are at outdoor venues, so your training area isn’t as compact and may have better ventilation than a gym if the weather is pleasant.
Have your comfortable workout outfit, trainers, water bottle and towel ready for your bootcamp training. Depending on your exercise routine, some Taskers may ask you to bring your own jump rope, light kettlebell weight or medicine ball. Some Taskers can lend you these items or buy them for you upon request. You can also bring a towel and a change of clothes to your sessions.
Bootcamp training is inspired by military bootcamp, but they are pretty different. Some fitness trainers got the idea from military training and made similar fitness programs that have intense exercises with short rest breaks in between. Some bootcamp trainers take the military inspiration a step further by dressing up like a drill instructor, complete with uniform, whistle, and barking orders for exercises!
Yes, absolutely! Bootcamp training has High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) at its core, which can build muscle and help you lose fat. But don’t pin all your hopes of becoming fit via the training alone - you have to combine this with enough sleep and the proper diet. So sleep at least 8 hours every night, do away with fast food, eat home-cooked meals of lean meats, and you can have a fit body in no time!
It will help if you look for a bootcamp trainer who has the requisite experience and the ability to modify the training to fit your needs and physical capacity. While it’s called “bootcamp”, this type of training shouldn’t be as punishing as a military bootcamp, but it can push your limits. An ideal trainer should also have the proper credentials, like a degree in a health or fitness discipline and emergency medical training, which includes first aid and CPR.
Beginning students of bootcamp training should only have a session once a week. More fit students can have (at most) two sessions a week with two days in between and never have one after another. The reason for these limits? Bootcamp training can be very stressful, and you can have a bad reaction to the physical and possibly psychological stress of the workout.

What do Bootcamp training services include?
Bootcamp training services include all the tasks and activities necessary to help you achieve your fitness goals with this rigorous, military training-style fitness program.
While some Taskers may provide this service to a single client, Bootcamp training is often conducted with a group of people. Your Tasker can work with you to come up with a Bootcamp training program that suits your needs.
Setting goals
Your bootcamp training begins with your Tasker helping you set your fitness goals. As Bootcamp training is a more demanding form of physical training, you may need to level up your fitness and flexibility before joining. Your Tasker may ask about your medical history and current physical condition before they design your training program.
Some Taskers may request you get a physical examination from your doctor and prove a clean bill of health before booking the service. Once you give your Tasker the necessary information, they can design a training program and customise it to suit your level.
Stretching & warming up
Before you do the exercises, your Tasker can have you do stretching and warm-up exercises. These are necessary to get your muscles, lungs, and heart ready and minimise cramping or soreness after the session. They can have you do stretching exercises, stationary jogging, jumping jacks or other warm-ups. You may do several warm-up exercises for at least 30 seconds each.
Nutrition advice
Some Taskers can give you a nutrition guide upon request. They can create a customised diet program you can use to help you reduce body fat or help your body maximise muscle gains after each workout.
You can help your progress along by hiring someone to provide you with the ingredients to prepare your recommended meals. You can also hire a service to handle your weekly meal preparation and help you stick to your recommended diet.
Doing the workouts
After finishing the stretching exercises, your Tasker can have you do the Bootcamp circuit training. This can consist of different activities like short sprints, burpees, bear crawls, medicine ball slams and other challenging routines. You may do various strength training exercises in your Bootcamp training in 2 sets of 12 reps each, or several sets and reps suitable to your level - all done within an hour.
Cooldown exercises and stretches
Towards the end of your session, your Tasker can have you do exercises of lesser intensity and stretches. This is to cool down your muscles and further minimise the risk of cramping or soreness after the workout.
