I bought 2 lattice makers, 2400 x 500mm to sit on top of fence at back of garden, however fence is so old and uneven I cant get the lattice makers to sit straight and fit in and keep things private. may need some sawing and tailoring of the legs and nailing etc to get them to sit on the fence, as they don't sit there as intended. I just don't have tools to do it or skills. looking for someone who can make this look half decent and importantly keep as much privacy with the 2 lattice makers as possible. shouldn't be a big job to just sort the 2 lattice makers, not expecting perfection at all. just the best that can be done

I’m looking for an experienced handyman/fencer to create a small pedestrian access gate/opening in an existing cream/Colorbond-style metal fence. The existing fence section is approximately 1,050 mm wide. I’d like to retain enough of the fixed panel to accommodate the existing water and gas meters, with a pedestrian gate/opening of approximately 500–550 mm clear width. There is an air-conditioning unit on the other side of the fence that projects approximately 430 mm from the wall, so the layout needs to be carefully considered to ensure the gate and pedestrian access work properly. Scope of work: Modify the existing metal fence to create a pedestrian opening. Construct and install a suitable narrow metal/Colorbond-style gate. Match the existing fence colour/style as closely as reasonably possible. Install suitable hinges, latch/handle and framing. Ensure the gate is secure, square and operates properly. Work around the existing water and gas meters without restricting access to them. Keep the finished job neat and professional. Ideally, I’d like the gate to open in the direction that provides the best clearance around the AC unit. Important: Please inspect the area before commencing and confirm the proposed opening/gate arrangement will work safely with the existing meters and AC unit. Looking for someone experienced with timber paling fences to repair an existing boundary fence. The fence is generally usable but has several damaged/leaning sections and the gate needs repair/re-alignment. Looking to replace only the damaged palings/rails/posts where necessary rather than replacing the entire fence. Please assess what can be repaired vs what needs replacing and provide a quote. I have a metal side gate where the latch/bolt goes into a brick wall. The brick has worn out and been patched previously and the bolt can now be forced out, wearing away the brick. I need a proper, long-lasting fix. I believe we need to drill into the brick and install a steel receiver/sleeve (tube) for the bolt or something similar to fix the issue. Open to other ideas!
