The walls are concrete, so we’d like the new power points surface mounted, with any visible cabling neatly enclosed in white ducting/trunking rather than cutting into or chasing the walls. The new outlets will be located as shown on the attached annotated floor plan, with an existing power point nearby. The approximate distance from the existing point to the new locations is 4–5 metres. The RCD labelled “Protected Power” (C20, 30mA) trips the instant I switch it on, so all power points are dead. Lighting circuit is fine. Cause is known: insecticide spray went into one power point and the tripping started immediately after. The RCD has been off since and I haven’t touched the outlet. What I need: the affected outlet inspected and replaced, and the circuit tested.
