They have sealed 10-year batteries and are designed for self-installation, so no electrical wiring is required. The job involves: Remove the mounting brackets from the five alarms. Position and securely screw the mounting brackets to the ceilings in the appropriate locations. Activate each alarm according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Attach each alarm to its mounting bracket. Test all five alarms to make sure they are operating correctly and communicating/interconnecting with one another.
