Looking for a licensed NSW electrician to replace two existing hardwired smoke alarms (Transco Model SA, 240V) with new compliant hardwired photoelectric smoke alarms with battery backup. Also need repairs to a bathroom 3-in-1 heat, light and exhaust fan unit. The heat lamps work, but the centre light isn’t working even after replacing the bulb, and the exhaust fan is also not working. Prefer to repair the existing unit if possible. Job includes supplying the new smoke alarms, repairs and testing. Work must be completed by a licensed NSW electrician.

1. Relocate Smoke Alarm: Relocate 1 x existing 240V hardwired interconnected smoke alarm by approx. 0.6m along the plaster ceiling (to allow clearance for a light fitting). 2. Install 1 x Outdoor Double Powerpoint: - Supply and install a standard weatherproof outdoor double powerpoint (IP54 or similar, see attached photo). - Location: Mount it on a nearby vertical timber deck skirting board (about 1.2m above ground level, no ladder needed). - Cable Run: Run new cable under the deck from the existing junction box (see photo) to the powerpoint (approx. 2 metres distance, using protective conduit/pipe). - Access: Requires crawling/getting under the deck to run the wire(about 1m high). - Power Feed: The existing junction box is ready under the house on a safety switch. (The whole house was rewired around 2021, and this circuit feeds from an existing upstairs powerpoint) Requirements: - Must be a licensed QLD Electrical Contractor. - Provide an invoice with contractor licence number and testing/compliance statement. - Work to commence after 9:00 AM on working days.

One of my smoke alarms was chirping tonight - on inspection it needed replacing 5 years ago (oops). I have three that need replacing. Wiring is all there, just need a licenced sparky to put three new ones in (Bunnings is at the bottom of our street if that helps). The old ones are EXIT EXI3786M9, an old ionisation smoke alarm model that has been discontinued.so would need a whole new unit not just a replacement head.chucking a price up that would include you supplying smoke alarms — ones in last picture are $35 each at Bunnings.

i have an approximately 2012 hard-wired smoke alarm. I replaced the backup battery, reinstalled the alarm and it sparked and there are now visible burn marks on the electrical contacts. I need the connection checked and the alarm replaced please :)
