I'm looking for a reliable and experienced dog sitter to look after my 6-year-old Golden Retriever, Rocky, while we're attending two weddings on separate dates. Rocky is a friendly, affectionate 44 kg Golden Retriever who absolutely loves people! He's generally a relaxed dog who enjoys spending most of his day resting and sleeping, although he can get quite excited when greeting people. What we're looking for: Someone to look after Rocky at his usual home during the day and evening (no overnight stay required). Keep him company, feed him and let him outside when needed. Someone experienced with large dogs, particularly those with reactive behaviours. No walks or interactions with other dogs are required. Someone willing to meet Rocky beforehand so he can become comfortable with them. Important things to know about Rocky: Although Rocky loves people, he can be reactive towards other dogs and has a history of resource guarding, including biting when someone attempts to take an item away from him. For this reason, we're specifically seeking someone confident and experienced in safely managing these behaviours. We're happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand and provide clear instructions about his routine and behaviour.
