I’m not sure about asbestos, we were told there was asbestos in bathroom and laundry but I don’t know where. House was built in 1970 but there was a 2x4 that was bolted into the wall that has shown there is wood behind the gyprock, gyprock looks to be 9-12mm thick so not sure if it’s a new piece. I’m willing to help hold cupboards up while being screwed in. We have about 7.5m of skirting that is required to be installed. The skirting winds its way past four doorways. There is a timber beading sitting under the plaster walls that mean standard skirting may not sit flush against the wall, so there might be the need to work around this.
