I’m looking for an experienced carpenter/deck builder to transform the existing small front landing shown in the “as-is” photos into the simple timber porch shown in the reference/to-be image. The objective is to do this as economically as possible while still being safe and solid. Scope I’m looking for: * Remove/replace the deteriorated decking as required. * Retain and reuse any existing framing, brick supports or timber that is structurally sound. * Extend/finish the platform so it looks like the reference photo. * Build approximately 2–3 wide timber steps across the front. * Use basic treated pine decking/timber or another economical outdoor option. * No balustrade or decorative detailing required. * Simple, clean finish — I can stain/oil/paint the timber myself afterwards if that saves money. * Ideally use standard/off-the-shelf materials rather than custom fabrication. I’m specifically looking for someone who can assess the existing structure and recommend the most cost-effective way of achieving this look without unnecessarily rebuilding everything. Please include in your offer: * labour cost * estimated materials cost * whether any of the existing structure can be retained * approximate time required I’m happy to purchase materials myself from Bunnings if that reduces the overall cost.

I want to remove the current stain on my entertainment unit and stain it a different colour. I’ve tried myself with acetone but I don’t think I have the right equipment to complete this properly with a nice finish. I’ve removed most of the hardware. I’ve included photos of the two section i’ve tried and the whole entertainment unit.

Looking for an experienced handyman or cabinet maker to correctly secure a new 60cm Kleenmaid RHSOR61 slide-out rangehood into an overhead kitchen cabinet.  Details: Current state: The rangehood is currently sitting in position and partially screwed in, but it sits approximately 5–10mm too low, preventing the overhead cabinet doors from closing properly. Scope of work: 1. Supply and fit a small timber/melamine spacer block (~5–10mm) between the top of the rangehood and the bottom shelf of the cabinet to raise/adjust the height profile. 2. Drive fixing screws to secure it firmly and flush.  3. Ensure overhead cabinet doors open and close cleanly over the front fascia. 4. Attach existing duct pipe to range hood. (Tape provided) Location: Casey, ACT 2913.
