Looking for an experienced and reliable person to complete an exterior clean and refresh of our property in Horsfield Bay. The job includes the following work. 1. Exterior house wash • Wash/clean the exterior of the house to remove dirt, grime, mould and general build-up. • We are happy for you to recommend the most appropriate method, including soft washing and/or pressure washing depending on the surface. • Important that the existing painted surfaces are not damaged or stripped by excessive pressure. • Please use the appropriate cleaning solution and pressure for each surface. 2. Driveway pressure washing • Pressure wash the driveway and associated hard surfaces. • Remove built-up dirt, mould and staining as far as reasonably possible. 3. Front timber deck • Properly clean and prepare the existing timber deck for staining. • We do not require the entire deck to be mechanically sanded back. • Preparation can include an appropriate Cabot’s deck cleaner/stripper or equivalent where required. • Apply 2 coats of Cabot’s Merbau decking stain/oil. • Application and drying time between coats to follow the product requirements. 4. Car park timber rails • Repair/replace one timber rail that has snapped off. • Prepare the existing timber rails as required. • Sand/grind back rusted bolts and other rusted metal areas before coating. • Apply suitable rust-inhibiting primer to exposed/prepared metal before painting. • Paint all timber rails white with 2 coats. • The existing rails are generally in reasonable condition, so only normal/minimal surface preparation is required apart from the rusted areas and damaged rail. 5. Front stairs and handrails • Prepare and repaint the handrails running down the front stairs. • Prepare and repaint the stair treads. • Preparation needs to be appropriate for the existing surfaces so the new coating adheres properly and gives a durable finish. • Apply the appropriate primer where required and 2 finish coats.

We've recently moved into a house where one section of wooden floorboards is coloured differently to the nearby sections. We would like that section of floor restained so that it better matches the rest of the house. We know it likely won't be possibly to perfectly match the colour - that's fine, we just want the difference to be less obvious. The area measures approximately 3.5m x 3.5m. We don't know what wood the floorboards are made of, nor what stains or products have been used. The house is from around 1900. We are seeking someone to: - Sand that area of floor back, - Stain the floorboards to better match the rest of the house, and - Apply a new topcoat. We will pay for the stain and top coat - but would appreciate your expertise to choose and purchase the right products to use, particularly to best match the colour. The house is currently empty so there's no furniture etc to work around. We will have some people painting the house at the same time but will make sure they are not in your way. Work can be carried out any time between Sat 15 Aug to Thu 20 Aug. There's free street parking outside and it's usually not difficult to find a spot.
