I have just installed a new lock on the door. The door use to have a long vertical metal plate which is now removed so there are parts of the door (front and back) that has not been stained which is now exposed. I suspect the whole door needs to be restained to ensure uniformity? I don't want the front door section that is unstained to look different to the rest of the door.
