I have a wooden chest that needs to be sanded and finished with a clear coat of polyurethane. I used paint stripper to remove most of the previous paint and finish, but it's taking more work than expected. Chest has some metal hardware and ornaments that cannot be removed. It is already disassembled. You may work on the chest at our place or transport it to your preferred work location.

Hello I’ve extended this task due to wet weather hopefully I can get it sorted soon This task has been posted previously but for various reasons I wasn’t quite ready and I need to now progress the job and as a result I seem to have lost the details of the people who have already expressed an interest sorry about that Long story short I had some time wasters stuffing me around with helping with removal of the old boards and then the weather went bad.... I have a rear deck that is 50 m² the old boards have been removed the frame is 90% okay I’d like a carpenter or decking specialist DIY person to lay the new boards which I’ve already got 140 mm Kiln dried Merabu 5.7m...... minimal butt joins I’ve done my homework and I’ve also invested in 80mm torx 304 stainless steel screws three screws per board 14 gauge with a 12 gauge head They will need to be pre-drilled 40mm with a 5mm bit and I have a new carb-I-tool that does the countersink.... I will be there at all times to help as an offsider look forward to a top quality finish and Maybe learning a few tricks of the trade The frame will either be completely ready to go or 90% pending youradvice on strengthening it in certain spots given I have a four person spa on it.... I’d like it done in the next few weeks weather permitting timing is flexible. I’ll put up a rate per day which should be sort of six hours or so maybe I don’t know and we can figure it out from there on the basis of whatever is fair and reasonable.... thank you I look forward to it..!!!!!

Hello I’ve got a 50 m² deck and next week sometime I need somebody to help me put the boards down I’m actually re-decking the same frame which is about eight years old I’m using 80 mm 14 gauge stainless screws and 140 mil wide kilndried marabu boards that are 5.7 m long so the but joins are at a minimum there is no working at Heights it’s ground level the frame will be ready to go I will be there to help as an offsider I have a fair few tools so you probably don’t even need any tools I’m not using any fancy pattern in terms of picture framing it’s just two levels 20 m² with the boards running one way then a step in the slightly higher level 30m2 where the boards run the other way up against the wall the deck is under cover so if a drizzle of rain we should be able to carry on I wonder how many days work that would take to lay the boards make sure they’re perfectly straight the gaps are even screw them down and then screw them off. I also have to move a spa to do the job.

Hi everybody I’ve got a 50 m² deck and I need to lift the boards because I’m gonna re-deck it and retain the frame so I need someone to help me cut either side of the joists with a circular saw take the wood away stack it up and clean up underneath the deck then remove the remaining bits of wood under the screw heads with a chisel and a hammer and then unscrew the screws by hand to avoid damaging the joists because I’ll be re-using them we also have a spa I could use a hand to tip that on its side if the opportunity arises All tools provided I’m prepared to pay 30 bucks an hour for an eight hour day and depending how it goes I may need other days..... The deck ground level so there’s no working at Heights or digging or anything like that it’s all pretty straightforward and I’ll be there to help..... The previous person has used normal wood screws and not proper decking screws so the boards have cupped a bit and they’re fiddly to get up so I’ve bit off a bit more than I can chew for one person....
