I’m looking for an experienced finish carpenter or renovation carpenter to help achieve a modern, skirt-free finish in my stairwell. Please note: This is not a standard skirting board replacement job. The existing skirting boards have already been removed, revealing an approximately 15–25 mm structural movement/expansion joint where the staircase meets the wall framing. I understand this may require both carpentry and plastering expertise. If you believe a plasterer will also be required, I’m happy to hear your recommendation. What I’m looking for first is someone who understands this type of detailing and can recommend the best approach. Design Goal I’d like to achieve a clean, modern finish with: * No traditional skirting boards. * No visible trim or shadow lines, if reasonably achievable. * A smooth wall transition into the staircase. * A solution that accommodates structural movement and minimises future cracking. This is a new Bunnings Kaboodle kitchen cabinet corner door with Kaboodle hinges (165 degrees & 135 degrees) replacing an old water damaged door. It is fully assembled. I just need the door fixed to the cabinet & adjusted to fit. I have all the tools & equipment here. Cordless Jigsaw with Melamine blade (if it needs to be trimmed to fit), Drill & Impact driver, melamine tape etc.

I’m looking for an experienced handyman or carpenter to repair damage to two internal timber door frames and one timber door edge that has been chewed/scratched by my dog. The work includes: * Repairing damaged timber door jambs/frames. * Repairing the edge of a dark timber door. * Filling gouges and missing timber using an appropriate wood repair product (e.g. epoxy wood filler). * Sanding the repaired areas smooth. * Preparing the surfaces ready for painting. * If possible, repainting the repaired sections to match the existing finish (white door frames and dark stained/painted timber door).
