Ignore budget as looking for a quote. I need a quote from a bricklayer/masonry contractor to rebuild a damaged brick driveway gate pillar/pier at the front of a residential property in Alphington. The pillar was knocked over by a reversing delivery vehicle and has separated from its base. I need it rebuilt securely and matched to the existing brickwork as closely as possible. Existing bricks may be reusable, but advice is needed. This is for an insurance claim, so I require a written quote with labour, materials and scope clearly listed. I have a (decommissioned) AC unit, wood store, and (decommissioned) spa tub motor, plus an old shed. I would like them all to be demolished and removed. Tasker will be removing the concrete surrounding the steel column x 9 columns for an area of 1m below the top of the column so the steel column is cleanly exposed. The Tasker will need to use a light/medium size hand jack hammer and angle grinder to first cut a grid of cuts so concrete pieces will pop off easier once touched with the jack hammer. Some of the columns (as pictured will need the use of a scissor lift, which I will provide along with training on how to use safely for the Tasker. If the Tasker has a ‘yellow card’ (EWPA) that will be looked upon favourably. If the Tasker has their own tools, that will be looked upon favourably. Safety clothing, ear/eye/foot protection is a must. Refer pictures for more details. Open to any questions. Work time is flexible and can be undertaken over a number of agreed days but the right tasker is probably capable of finishing the same day. Car parking access is easy where Tasker’s vehicle will be within meters of where Tasker will be working. Work cannot occur before 7am or after 6pm. If on a Saturday not before 9am or after 3pm.
