I already have the bracket and screws. I tried locating the wall studs myself with a stud finder but couldn’t find them reliably — drilled a few test holes that hit neither wood nor metal, just insulation material. I also tried plasterboard anchors but they don’t hold securely enough for the TV’s weight. Need someone with real experience locating studs (ideally with proper equipment if needed) and who can advise on the safest way to secure a TV this size — including heavy-duty or chemical anchors if the studs aren’t in an ideal position relative to the mount. Bonus if you can also patch up the test holes I’ve already made (filler/finish) while you’re there. I’ll have all materials on site (bracket, screws, anchors). Tv is ~38 inches wide, about 8.5kg . I have purchased a full motion tv mount off Amazon - you can Google the model number - Artiss TV-MOUN-B-SINGLE-21AT . The wall is drywall, and I am not 100% sure but I believe the stud is metal rather than wood based off investigating with a magnet . Due to the constraints of my unit layout the tv is desired to be mounted a bit high and this job is more suited to 6-foot plus people if possible! Please feel free to ask any questions.
