Most people choose to install their roman blinds outside the recess when they want less light to come in through the window and aim to make their windows seem more prominent. With an outside mount, the blind is mounted on the wall outside the window recess.Â

The steps for installing blinds on an outside mount are similar to when done on an inside mount.
