What does a reverse car camera installation include?
You’ll need a professional reverse car camera installation for the unit to work effectively. Fortunately, thanks to technology advancement, you can get yours installed by a mobile mechanic without having to leave your home. Here’s what you can expect during your car camera installation:
Step 1: Install the camera in the best position
Most cameras are designed to attach to your number plate, but your installer will determine the correct placement for your type of vehicle to ensure maximum visibility. For larger cars or commercial vehicles, they may need to attach the camera in a higher position to give you the visibility you need.Â
Step 2: Connect the power supply
Minor electrical work is completed to connect the camera to the power source, usually the wires powering your rear tail lights. Once the installation is completed, your camera will activate when you select reverse gear.
Step 3: Install the camera monitor for viewing
It’s important that your monitor is installed in a comfortable position for you to view images safely while reversing as well as ensure a clear view through the windscreen. Monitors can be mounted on the windscreen or dash, or you may choose to install an integrated option that combines your reversing monitor with your rear-view mirror. I have purchased a reverse cam for my car. Amazon search: Vtopek Universal 1080P. Attached is a photo to make sure you are viewing the correct one. I need this fitted and displayed on my LCD. Car already has sensors which i still need to work, but I also now want to view the rear. Attached also is a photo of my LCD that has CARPLAY on it. Need an auto electrician to come to port melb, wire in the camera (may need longer cabling for you to supply ( I will cover costs)). Will also need it configure to work. Install preferred anytime after Lunch any day. There is no garage space unfortunately. Install will need to be on the street. Or Local to Port Melbourne.

Have just purchased a touch screen info unit that fits the mountings of my Mercedes Sprinter van. I’ve got no idea what wiring goes to what. Need an auto electrician or the likes of who can wire this thing up and get it working.
