What does a reverse car camera installation include?
You’ll need a professional reverse car camera installation for the unit to work effectively. Fortunately, thanks to technology advancement, you can get yours installed by a mobile mechanic without having to leave your home. Here’s what you can expect during your car camera installation:
Step 1: Install the camera in the best position
Most cameras are designed to attach to your number plate, but your installer will determine the correct placement for your type of vehicle to ensure maximum visibility. For larger cars or commercial vehicles, they may need to attach the camera in a higher position to give you the visibility you need.
Step 2: Connect the power supply
Minor electrical work is completed to connect the camera to the power source, usually the wires powering your rear tail lights. Once the installation is completed, your camera will activate when you select reverse gear.
Step 3: Install the camera monitor for viewing
It’s important that your monitor is installed in a comfortable position for you to view images safely while reversing as well as ensure a clear view through the windscreen. I need someone to install a mirror mount reverse camera I recently purchased. My car is a 2011 Toyota RAV4 and the reverse camera model is a Gator mirror mount GRV43MKT. Fridays or the weekend suit me best. There is only on street parking in my area and it can be a bit busy so let me know if this is an issue.

Have just purchased a touch screen info unit that fits the mountings of my Mercedes Sprinter van. I’ve got no idea what wiring goes to what. Need an auto electrician or the likes of who can wire this thing up and get it working.
