We’re looking for an experienced landscaper to undertake the basic structural/ground preparation for our backyard renovation in City Beach. At this stage just want to get the “bones” of the landscaping completed as economically as possible. Scope: 1. Rear retaining wall Approx. 9.3m long x 600mm high behind the existing tree. - Existing tree to remain - Open to timber sleeper/post, concrete panel and post, limestone or another suitable system (again taking the cost conscious approach). Do not need to back fill behind the top retaining wall. 2. Level main lawn area Level/grade the central section of the backyard to create a large, relatively flat lawn area, broadly as shown in the attached concept. Bring in and spread appropriate sand/soil as required. Finish the area at the appropriate level and condition ready for grass/turf to be laid. Turf itself does not need to form part of the quote, although happy for it to be priced separately. 3. Basic reticulation, if possible While the ground is open, install/relocate the retic pipework and sprinkler heads required for the lawn. We don't necessarily need solenoids/controller etc. at this stage. The aim is to have the underground infrastructure in place before the lawn goes down. 4. Site preparation Remove/redistribute excess soil and rubble as required. Leave the area tidy and essentially ready for lawn and the later landscaping/planting stage. We’re trying to keep this first stage simple and cost effective, so we're very open to recommendations on materials or construction methods that achieve the same result for less. I can also provide the site survey showing existing levels. Please let me know your proposed approach/material, indicative cost and availability. Quote on labour only.

Outdoor paving – French pattern travertine, approx. 6 m² Looking for an experienced landscape paver or paving contractor to lay French pattern travertine in an outdoor area in City Beach, approximately 6 metres × 1 metre, where a planter has been removed. The contractor should have experience preparing outdoor paving bases, laying natural stone or travertine, making the necessary cuts, matching existing paving levels and ensuring suitable drainage. The travertine tiles have already been purchased and will be supplied. Work required: • Prepare and level the area. • Supply and lay suitable base material and bedding sand, compacting as required. • Lay the travertine in a French pattern, including any necessary cuts. • Match the levels of the existing paving and ensure suitable drainage. • Finish edges and joints and leave the area tidy. This should be a relatively straightforward job for an experienced landscape paver or paving contractor. Please confirm that the proposed base and installation method are suitable for the thickness and type of travertine supplied. Budget as placeholder but expected to be $800-$1200. Please quote for labour, preparation materials and equipment, and advise your availability. Photos of similar outdoor natural-stone paving work would be appreciated.

Job: - moving small rocks/gravel from a section of the garden to a pond - one section of the pond is close by, the other is upstairs, and will need to be carried in a container - have some large plastic tubs /rubber rubs to do this (see photo - another equivalent area of rocks on other side) - physical work - paying $30 per hour. I am looking for someone to pick up mulch from the Town of Cambridge depot, load it into your trailer and then spread the mulch over our garden (front and back). You will need a car, trailer, wheelbarrow and shovel / pitchfork. Garden is quite big so will probably take about 5-6 standard trailer loads.
