When I turn on the shower, hot water comes out normally. • Once I turn on the cold water, after about 1–2 minutes the hot water completely stops. • If I turn the cold water off, the hot water comes back again. • This cycle keeps repeating: hot water → turn on cold → hot water stops → turn off cold → hot water returns. Tenants have stated there is a problem with the hot water in the shower. Turns suddenly cold and then scalding hot. Happens even when no-one else in house is using the water. Problem could be the mixer unit in the shower or the hot water unit itself or both.
