We have cut a new doorway into an existing internal plasterboard wall and need an experienced carpenter to finish the framing and install the door properly. Current opening is approximately: * 870 mm wide * 2100 mm high * Wall thickness is approximately 90 mm total * Existing wall framing is 70 mm timber with 10 mm plasterboard each side Some of the existing horizontal framing/noggins were cut when the doorway was opened up, so they are currently loose at the cut ends. The opening needs to be properly reframed and made solid before fitting the jamb and door. I am supplying the main materials, including: * 820 × 2040 × 35 mm internal door * 92 × 18 mm primed pine door jamb set * Door stop included with jamb set * Gainsborough matte black passage lever handle set * 70 × 35 mm H2 treated framing timber * Framing screws * Architrave * Hinges Work required: * Install new framing around doorway as required. * Secure existing cut/loose framing back into the new framing * Set the rough opening to suit the 820 × 2040 door without trimming/shaving the door if possible * Install and pack the jamb. * Hang the door * Fit hinges * Fit supplied door stop * Fit Gainsborough passage handle/latch * Fit architraves to both sides of the doorway * Adjust everything so the door opens, closes and latches correctly The doorway has already been cut, so there is no major demolition required. Hi, I need an experienced carpenter to install a lockable door in my laundry. As shown in the photos, this door will come off the existing nib wall to create a partitioned space. We do NOT require an external-grade, weatherproofed door. We just want a lockable, exterior-style door to secure that back section. The door will be hinged from the timber post at the end of the nib wall. Your quote must cover: 1.
