Timber Pool Decking, Front Gate & Timber Slats – Clean, Stain & Treat I’m looking for an experienced person to clean, prepare, stain and treat several outdoor timber areas at my home. The main job is the timber decking around the swimming pool, which needs to be properly cleaned/prepared and then stained/oiled to restore the timber and protect it from the weather. I would also like the following timber areas done at the same time: * Front timber gate * A number of exterior timber slats/screens * A few other smaller outdoor timber sections around the property I’m looking for a high-quality, professional finish, with appropriate preparation before staining rather than simply applying another coat over the existing timber. Ideally you will: * Have experience restoring and staining outdoor timber/decking * Be able to advise on the best stain/oil/product to use * Protect surrounding pool, paving, walls and other surfaces while working * Supply all equipment and preferably materials, although happy to discuss this Please include your experience and, if possible, some photos of similar decking/timber restoration work you have completed. Need to: 1. Install new colourbond gate, Monument colour, 2.1M H x 1.47m W with latch/lock. Existing one is damaged. Need FRAME replaced as well as it’s a different colour. Hinges can probably be reused. 2. One panel of fence has been damaged via outside impact, needs to be replaced. Panel is ~ 80cm W x ~206cm H (not sure if these are standard size panels or custom). Frame is find and intact just one panel.

For my mother- Repair timber gate and putty holes on wall and paint from painting that have been put up.

Install a supplied mechanical combination lock on an external timber gate in Mosman. Remove the existing lock, fit and align the new lock and strike, and make sure it opens by code outside and handle inside. Gate width - 5 cm - should fit the lock. Please bring all required tools and drill bits. Photos attached. Flexible time.

A handyman to please fix a office door that’s not closing properly and a gate that’s not closing properly ( at a childcare centre)

Front gate door is misaligned over time. Task requires removal of door off hinges, shaving of the sides and repositioning to make sure it opens/closes.

The gate post fixed on the garage is possibly rotting- the weight of the gate is leaning down and so entry is affected by the gate only opening 1/2 way. I’d like to replace the timber post (I have a piece ready to cut) and then reattach the same gate so that it swings open properly again. Requires only hardware bolts/ screws to fix timber post to wall and gate to timber post. I will paint the post.

The wooden post has split vertically behind the latch mechanism, and we can no longer latch it closed. Looking for a professional (carpentry and/or fencing experience) to repair or replace the damaged section so the gate can be securely latched again. I’d like the finish to look like new, but ideally, the mounting method needs to be more robust than the original to prevent this happening again. Can you please provide your professional opinion (best guess) of what likely caused this failure (e.g., installation method, material, or usage) alongside your quote.

Gate needs minor repairs that requires 2 people, so I need help. Storage space needs reconfiguring. Total should take around 4-5 hours.

Fix gates (2) by replacing the existing rusted hinges with new self closing hinges - reattached loose pickets. Hinges + screws supplied if easier for you.

Needing an experienced handyman to reattach our front gate that has come off its hinges. Will likely need to have a look first, then purchase the hinges needed from our local hardware shop which I will obviously pay for. It's a quick, small job but definitely needs someone that knows what they are doing. Needs to be completed Thursday afternoon or early Friday if at all possible. Hopefully someone local is free at short notice! Gate is a light weight timber gate.
