I’ve got an automated Colorbond sliding gate that needs cutting down 300mm and re-welding. This is a fabrication job, not a handyman job. Only quote if you can weld steel properly and leave it square and true. The gate has to run back on its track and work with the motor once you’re done, so it has to go back together dead straight. What’s involved: Cut the steel frame down 300mm, keeping the cut square across both sides. Cut the Colorbond infill sheet to match. Re-weld the frame rail back on so the gate is the correct height and still square. Grind welds back clean. Prime and touch up all cut and welded edges Re-hang the gate on the track and check it runs true through its full travel. You’ll need your own welder, grinder, and gear. Job is in Frankston. Please tell me in your quote what welding experience you’ve got and whether you’ve worked on automated gates before.

Looking for someone to build and install a small waist-height pedestrian gate (around 1 m high) with a short matching fence section between a brick wall and fence post, roughly 2.1 m across. The gate will go where the red line is marked in the photo — the spot where the photo was taken will be a dog area, and the section on the other side of the new fence will be decked. look skilled tradie to installation 2 gates and 1 fence i have the materials: -2 steel fences convert to gates (2.5 +1.4 m w) for my driveway, 1 large gate (2.5M w) will be adding wheels under , small gate (1.4m w) will connect to timber post - 1 x 2.5m w steel fence, -2 timber posts, - small stone bags, quick concrete bags -2 steel wheels for the large gate steel post (existed) - large gate, small gate, install timber post - fix fence - install timber post just need your skill and your tools, it is no difficulty as long as you knew how to connection to the posts.
