We require an experienced flooring professional or skilled handyman to repair a trip hazard issue with the flooring at our store in Traralgon. The Issue: One specific vinyl floor plank located behind the main service counter has become loose or sunken. When stepped on or near, the plank sinks down, creating a lip/edge which poses a significant trip hazard for our staff working in that area. Location Details: + The affected plank is in the Shopfront area, specifically behind the service counter. It is not in the main customer browsing area. + While this is the only plank currently presenting a hazard, the store notes other areas of the floor are of "poor quality" from the initial build. Scope of Work: Inspect: Assess the affected plank and immediate surrounding area to determine the precise cause of the sinking (e.g., adhesive failure, subfloor void, damaged plank). Repair: Execute the repair to make the plank level, stable, and eliminate the trip hazard completely. This may involve re-gluing, securing, packing the void, or potentially replacing the single plank if it's damaged (please advise if replacement is necessary and if you can source a match or suitable alternative – note: store currently only identified one plank as the hazard). Clean Up: Ensure the work area is left clean and tidy. Requirements: - Proven experience in commercial flooring repairs, particularly with glue-down vinyl planks. - Professionalism and ability to work tidily within a retail environment.
