Hello! We had a switchboard upgrade a few months ago and we just noticed that our air con isn’t working. We noticed the RCD trips every time we turn it on. Important to note: no new circuits added or new electrical equipment added. Could be something they did in the switchboard? We don’t know why it’s happening. Posting this add for a quote (fyi). The garage has no electricity, none of the switches or powerpoints work. We have already checked that there is no power coming into the garage at all so the fault lies somewhere else. See photos. We need an REC to work with Jemena. We are doing a knock down rebuild and a neighbour main electricity supply wire goes over front of our property that is too low. This wire needs to be connected to the PIT. The PIT is already installed. As you cane see there will be a wire that need to run underground from PIT to neighbour and connected to the meter so there will be some digging required. Most of the digging will be soft soil but between the neighbour edge and PIT, there is a little concrete patch so either the concret to be cut or wire connected undergroud i believe the compliance depth is 600mm. Quote to include all costs EXCLUDING Jemena and the work MUST be finished on the same Jemena visit day. Jemena told me that on the day of work, they first visit at 8:00 AM to disconnect the wire from Pole and again after 12 Noon to reconnect to PIT. The REC has to finish the work in these 4 hours downtime when the neighbour will be without power. So the REC has to do some prework i believe like Civil work a day before so be ready for the day of installation. If because of REC not completing the work on the same day before Jemena do the second visit, Jemena will charge extra cost which is unacceptable to us at is over 1000 dollars. Hello, i have a brand new MHI DXK05ZTLA 1.5Kw split system that i want to install in a small study room. It should be back to back as there is room above the curtain/window however professional advice is appreciated. There's no other split system in the house except a evaporative system on the roof. We have an older York aircon (model: HLKA24FS-AAA) that is inconsistent with the cold air it is producing. It will provide cool air for maybe 5-10 minutes and then start producing warm air after. Need someone to come and take a look and fix/service the unit, please.
