I'm looking for experienced builder or carpenter to convert an existing window into a full-height external door for a laundry exit. The job involves: - Removing brickwork/studs beneath an existing window (window opening is 925mm wide × 488mm high). - Extending the opening down to the floor to achieve a full 925mm (W) × 2140mm (H) rough opening. - Ensuring the top lintel (above existing window) is not affected or advise if modifications are needed. - Framing out the new opening with appropriate studs and supports to suit aluminum/glass hinged door. - Preparing the opening square, plumb, and ready for door installation. Requirements: - Experience with structural wall modifications and door installations - Must be able to assess if additional support is needed (e.g. for load-bearing walls) Optional: - If you can also supply and install the aluminum/glass door unit, please include that in your quote or mention it.
