My Seagate 2TB USB-powered external hard drive started beeping after a light tap and is no longer recognised by my computer. It doesn’t appear to spin up, so this may be a mechanical or head issue. I need someone experienced in data recovery (not basic IT repair) who can safely diagnose the issue and, if possible, recover the data without causing further damage. Details: The drive beeps but doesn’t spin or mount. I’ve already tried different cables, ports, and computers. I have a new 5TB LaCie external hard drive ready to receive the recovered data. Located in Lewisham (Inner West Sydney) — happy to drop off locally or meet nearby. This is not a simple software recovery; please only respond if you have experience with mechanically failed Seagate drives or access to professional tools/clean-room facilities.
