Our current island bench is approximately 1.2 m wide and 2 m long. We’d like to move the bench and replace replace the island bench with 3 m long and 850 mm wide, include four drawers approximately 800 mm wide each and of standard depth. (We will need to match the new kitchen drawers and fridge overhang to existing colour) Pantry: floor to ceiling 800 wide and 600 deep. Above the fridge, we’ll need a cupboard insert with no doors and a side panel. In the laundry, the washing machine and dryer will sit directly on the floor. We’d like an island-style bench about 2.4 m long, and 650-700 depth, with two shelves overhead and a cupboard around 400 mm high and 350 mm deep. Plumbing and electrical work will be arranged by us. Hello, We are looking for a skilled handyman, joiner, or cabinet maker to repair and align two cabinet doors at our retail store, in Pacific Fair. The Issue: Two cabinet doors behind our front desk are not closing or latching correctly. The doors are misaligned, sitting unevenly, and are not catching on the top latches. This looks unprofessional and is an inconvenience for staff. One door hinge appears to be particularly loose. The Job: The task is to professionally adjust and repair the cabinet doors so they function correctly. The scope of work includes: 1. Inspecting the hinges and latches on both doors. 2. Re-securing any loose hinges and making sure they are firmly attached to both the doors and the cabinet frame. 3. Adjusting all hinges to ensure both doors hang straight, are perfectly aligned with each other, and have even gaps. 4. Adjusting or replacing the top latches as necessary so that both doors close securely. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply any necessary replacement parts, such as new screws, hinges, or latches if the current ones are found to be broken. It appears the drawer runner (slider) has failed, as a small ball bearing from the mechanism has fallen out. This is a safety and operational issue, as the drawer protrudes into the staff walkway. The Job: The task is to replace the faulty drawer runners to make the drawer fully functional again. The scope of work will involve: 1. Carefully removing the drawer from the cabinet. 2. Assessing and removing the old, broken pair of drawer runners from both the drawer and the cabinet. 3. Have installed IKEA method kitchen cabinets. Need a cabinet maker with keen eyes to advise me if the cabinets are levelled enough for the kitchen countertop to be installed. Quick money just to spot check and confirm but happy to pay variation if further levelling is required. Flexible on dates but needs to be done before Saturday as this is when the stonemason will be out.
