I’m planning a renovation on a single fronted Victorian home which is narrow and long. The kitchen living area is a little dark, it has a second storey above it. I was thinking of adding a void straight through to the top of the second storey and adding a skylight to bring natural light to the lower kitchen/living area. I would like some advice from an architect/designer if this is a good idea or are there other better options.

Hi, I’m looking to restump my house and was wondering if you’d be able to come over and have a look tomorrow. The property is located in Jeparit, VIC 3423.

Will require someone to come in person to measure and then draw up architectural plans for renovation to existing alfresco, kitchen, laundry and bathroom in sliding changes to walls and doorways. Drawings must be completed to a level suited for council permits with proper CAD software.

Garage 5.3m x 3.6m made of single brick with some double brick pillars requires an inner wall of wood frame and plasterboard. Also a ceiling is required, including new battens to be attached to beams (beams are spaced 0.8 m apart so too far apart for plaster to be attached without battens) Garage door to be replaced with a sliding door (I purchase this). Any gaps around this filled with wood or wall. Also needed is a 2.3 section of internal single-sided plaster wall separating garage from the adjacent shed/studio. Photos have wood airing against walls and boxes - these will be moved by me asap.
