My LG front-loader washing machine has stopped working and is flashing the AE error code. This happened after I accidentally put too much fabric softener in the top drawer. Since then, the machine won’t start and keeps showing AE. Here’s what I’ve already done: • drained the small front hose • removed and cleaned the filter • cleaned the detergent/softener drawer • opened the machine and checked for residue • tilted the machine forwards (water did come out) • checked the drum and door seal Despite all that, the AE error still won’t clear. The machine is in a tight laundry space, so I need someone with experience to pull it out safely, check the base/leak tray area, and reset whatever sensor is still active.
