I’m looking at replacing my current 90cm freestanding oven model Technika Bellissimo B9GEFTSS-3. With a brand new (haven’t purchased yet) Westinghouse WFE9516DD. My current oven is hardwired and needs 15amp to operate. The new one needs 17.5 amp so likely just a fuse upgrade to 20amp (currently 16 amp) The gas connection is a simple replacement. The existing oven is a Westinghouse POR663S 600mm built-in oven, which appears to be hard-wired. However, I am not 100% certain whether there is an existing power socket behind the oven or in an adjacent cabinet. The new oven is a Miele steam combi oven (plug-in type). If there is no suitable existing socket, the hard-wired connection will need to be converted to a compliant single GPO (power point) on site. Ideally, you are a licensed electrician who can carry out this work during the installation if required. Photos of the existing oven, cavity, and new steam oven are available for reference. Please include this potential work in your quote and confirm that you are experienced with built-in oven installations and Australian electrical compliance requirements.

I’m replacing an older Westinghouse WVE6314 low-amp plug-in oven (approx. 10A) with a Bosch HBN53R550A electric oven that requires hard-wiring.
