I have two stove top burners (on the left) that will not stay alight on my Smeg freestanding oven. Also, when 2+ burners are on at the same time, the flames are weak. I’ve already had a technician come out to quote the job, so I already know what is required to be fixed. Gas pipe needs to be replaced because it is dented and reducing gas flow. Can I please be quoted for the below: 1. THERMOCOUPLE WOK BURNER [Front Left] 2. THERMOCOUPLE [Rear Left Burner] 3. GAS DISTRIBUTOR PIPE ASSEMBLY 4. Cost of labour I’ve been advised that the replacement of the thermocouple may not fix the problem, and if that’s the case, the wiring underneath the stove top may need to be replaced for those two burners. Two unrelated jobs at a house in Hurstbridge. Happy for one tradie to do both, or quote on either. 1. Deck lights tripping the switchboard We have upward-facing lights set into the deck. Turning on the light switch immediately trips a breaker/RCD at the switchboard. The lights aren't important to us, so either outcome works: - Fix them, if the cause turns out to be something reasonably accessible - Or safely disconnect and make the circuit dead, and either remove or blank off the light switch I'd like your assessment first. If it's a quick fix, great. If it means lifting decking or chasing a fault through the substructure, I'd rather just have them made safe and be done with it. Please quote for diagnosis, then let me know what you find before doing further work. 2. Gas cooktop igniter not sparking One burner on the gas cooktop won't ignite — no spark. The others are fine. We're currently lighting it with a lighter. Needs the igniter repaired, or advice if it's not economical.
