My old gas cooktop has stopped working properly. I have purchased a replacement and need someone remove the old and install the new one (as pictured in box). The old cooktop igniter has stopped working - however given its old and dirty i want to replace the whole thing. I can use a lighter to get the gas burning and gas flow is perfectly fine. Should mean no other parts require servicing. Must dispose of the old one also.

I have a smeg gas stove at home and I was away from Sydney for almost a year, after coming back home my gas stove is having trouble producing flame from the spark: so I have to use a lighter to get the flame. But after getting the flame, the flame would be very weak, or it dies on its own

Looking for an appliance technician who can help fix our gas cooktop. A gas plumber has already checked that the gas is working fine. It is just that the burners will not stay on. It will need an appliance technician.
