I’m looking for a licensed electrician who can disconnect hardwired appliances and replace ceiling fans / lights ahead of stripout and painting. I am renovating my kitchen/house and need the following work completed: 1. Safely disconnect and isolate the power to an existing built-in electric oven/cooktop so it can be removed. The appliance is hardwired (not plugged into a power point). 2. Replace 4 × ceiling fans and 5 x ceiling lights with temporary fixtures (all will be replaced later with new lights/fans, current ones need to removed for painting). This is the first stage of the renovation. After the kitchen and laundry strip out is complete, I will also need a licensed electrician to return to connect the new oven and other electrical work, so there will be additional work available. Blanco gas cooktop (about 14 yrs old) Suspect it’s a faulty thermocouple. The main burner doesn’t stay lit when holding the knob down, or it takes a long time of holding down the knob for it to finally stay lit. All other burners working fine.

The gas line will just need to be reopened and connected to the new cooktop. No benchtop cutting or modifications should be required, as the new gas cooktop is the same size as the previous one.

Hi, I’m looking for a licensed gas fitter to inspect an already installed gas cooktop. Just need a quick check of gas connections, leaks, and overall safety/compliance, and a compliance sign-off if all is okay. If required, a gas isolation valve may need to be added underneath the cooktop. A cement sheet has been installed behind the tiled wall for heat protection due to slightly reduced clearance (around 125mm).
