The latch to activate the ice on my fridge was broken in order to replace it I have to replace the whole door which seems totally impractical if anybody has an idea on how to install a button or latch they can activate the ice it's all I need it doesn't have to be pretty just needs to be operational

The 2 appliances are: 1) F&P DishDrawer which occasionally leaks, has pooling water, does not clean well and the seals inside look deteriorated; 2) Westinghouse gas oven which does not reliably ignite when turning on.

I have been investigating poor extraction performance from the rangehood and have inspected the ducting. I found that the 150 mm duct from the rangehood terminates inside the building void and is not connected to the external exhaust. The separate 100 mm duct leading to the external wall vent is completely disconnected and simply hangs into the same void. As a result, the rangehood appears to be exhausting into the building cavity rather than being ducted directly to the outside. This not only significantly reduces the performance of the rangehood but may also allow grease, moisture and cooking odours to accumulate within the building cavity. Installation of a continuous, sealed duct from the rangehood to the external vent. Repair of any wall or ceiling access required to complete the work. Confirmation that the external vent and duct size comply with the rangehood manufacturer’s installation requirements of 150mm

I need a licensed electrician to replace an old electric cooktop and a rangehood in my kitchen with new appliances. Details: Existing cooktop: Old Westinghouse electric cooktop with knobs (already on a dedicated circuit). New cooktop: Bosch PXX695 (7.4kW / 32A) induction cooktop. New rangehood: Westinghouse 60cm Fixed White Rangehood WRF610WA. Scope of work: Disconnect and remove old appliances, install and wire the new Bosch cooktop and the new Westinghouse rangehood. Straight swap into the existing cutouts, no countertop cutting required. Ducting: Replace the old flexible ducting/pipe with new ducting for the new rangehood. Switchboard: May require upgrading the existing fuse/circuit breaker to a compliant RCBO to meet current AS/NZS 3000 standards for the new induction unit. 1) $300 - repair a Miele rangehood with its fan not working while lighting still works(model DA 316-1i, 60cm wide pull-out), pretty sure the motor still works, suspect the switching parts(experience some sparks before not working) or 2)$800 - uninstall, remove the existing rangehood and supply plus install a new one that will fit and work
