I’m seeking a licensed and insured waterproofer (Melbourne) to inspect existing bathroom waterproofing. 2 coats of waterproofing has already been applied and appears to be in good condition, however no compliance certificate was provided by the original contractor. If the waterproofing is generally sound, I’m looking for someone who would also be open to remediating the work if required (e.g. final coat / minor detailing) and then issuing a waterproofing compliance certificate. Scope of this task (inspection only): - Inspect the existing waterproofing membrane (shower + bathroom floor) - Assess whether it appears compliant - Advise whether the waterproofing is capable of being certified - Identify any remedial work (if required) to achieve certification Additional info: - 8 tiles have been glued down in non-critical areas only (where the toilet and laundry cabinetry will be) - No tiles have been glued down in the shower base - I’m happy for the tiles to be lifted if required for inspection Important: - This task is for inspection and advice only - No remediation or certification is expected as part of this task Requirements: - Licensed waterproofer in Victoria - Public liability insurance - Experience inspecting and remediating existing waterproofing Photos: In the attached photos, the majority of tiles on the floor are loose and can be removed to inspect the membrane. Shower is leaking. Tiles (travertine) on floor of shower are cracked and broken. Tiles need to be lifted and area needs waterproofing and re-tiling with same or similar tiles and re-grouted. A few tiles outside of shower are broken as well and need replacing on the bathroom floor. Also some broken tiles in kitchen need replacing and second shower needs floor re- grouted. We have a balcony measuring 4.4m x 2.6m. It is leaking into the ceiling below. We need a waterproofing / balcony leak specialist to repair. Main issue seems to be the silicon where the tiles meet the side (see pics). May also need a waterproof coating or possibly regrouting. Tiles are not cracked or broken in any way and grout also is all intact. If you can quote assuming re siliconing side and waterproof coating and separately for re grouting if needed. Our bath tub is leaking and is leaking through the spa jets, water is leaking into the next room. The drainage / trap is not leaking . I would like someone to come and seal all the bath jets as they are never used. I’m looking for a professional waterproofer to come and seal them properly. I have tried myself, but it does still to appear to be leaking. I’ve taped off the bath to leak test it, to proof the spa jets are leaking. I have taped them off filled it up, drained it 4 times and it didn’t leak. I have filled a bath several times below the Jets and drained it and the bath doesn’t leak. When you fill the bath above the Jets, water begins to leak I tried to seal the jets myself with waterproofing, I need it done professionally 🙏
