Hi In one of the bathroom at level in townhouse, water from shower is leaking. Plumber performed dye test and informed waterproof is failed. So need to perform water proofing in shower area and surrounding tiles. There may be need to remove the tiles.

There was water damage mark on bathroom ceiling in the apartment below. Strata organized plumber to investigate and advised it might be tiles, grout, and sealants failure and suggested the owner to carry out the installation of a new seal over the top of the existing wall and floor tiles located within the bathroom first. The owner wanted to find out what exactly the source of leak is, it is because of Structural waterproofing membranes failure or tiles, grout, and sealants failure. And the owner wanted to get the second quote of water proofing works.

Tiles have gone off, some are cracked and loose. Tiles on the base of the shower need to be removed, waterproofing needs to be done and new tiles need to be placed.
