I have an upstairs tiled balcony with a large aluminium sliding door. There is a visible gap and deterioration along the bottom of the door frame/threshold only, and I believe water is getting through this area and leaking into the ceiling downstairs. I’m looking for someone experienced in balcony waterproofing, sliding door thresholds and water ingress repairs to properly diagnose and repair the issue. There have been previous attempts to seal the bottom of the frame with silicone or similar material, which has now deteriorated and separated. This old material will likely need to be removed and the area properly cleaned back before repairing it. I do not want another layer of silicone applied over the existing problem. I’m looking for a proper long-term repair that addresses how water is getting underneath the bottom of the frame. I would strongly prefer the door and frame to remain in place if possible. The frame is solidly plastered into the wall internally and the external render finishes directly against it, so removing the whole frame would create considerable additional work. Job to include: * Inspect the bottom threshold/frame only and identify where water is entering * Remove failed silicone/sealant and previous repair material as required * Inspect the junction between the frame, balcony tiles and waterproofing * Repair/reinstate suitable waterproofing, flashing, membrane or sealing as required * Neatly finish the area and water test if practical There are no known issues with the top or sides of the door. Our shower-over-bath currently allows water to pool around the bath edge and escape onto the bathroom floor. We plan to construct a raised waterproof hob around the existing bathtub, finished with a porcelain slab cap graded towards the bath. We are seeking an experienced tiler or waterproofer with wet-area renovation experience. A glazier may also be required for the shower screen. Proposed scope: * Temporarily remove the existing fixed shower screen. * Inspect and prepare the existing glazed tiles to achieve a reliable bond, using mechanical abrasion and/or a manufacturer-approved bonding primer and adhesive system. * Construct a new waterproof hob over the existing tiles without removing them. * A custom-sized Demtech high-density polyurethane shower hob is being considered and can be supplied by the owner, subject to installer approval. * Form the substrate with suitable falls towards the bathtub. * Waterproof all hob surfaces, joins and junctions with the bath and adjoining walls. * Prepare the completed substrate for installation of the porcelain slab cap. * After the stone is installed, reinstall the wall-fixed shower screen in its revised position, aligned with the outer edge of the new hob. * Complete all required flexible sealant and caulking around the screen, stone cap and bathtub. Excluded from scope: * Fabrication and installation of the porcelain slab cap. This will be completed separately by the owner’s stonemason. In an existing bathroom, we need to do water proofing & tiling.

I have 2 showers needing to be retiled and waterproofed. Shower 1 is 1150x1050x2100 shower 2 is 1050x1050x2150 Tiles will need to be removed and new waterproofing done. Wish to have new tapware installed as well. Shower screens can remain. I can provide the tiles and tapware. Can start anytime after Monday 5th October.

I'm after certified water proofing of my shower, and tiling of the full bathroom excluding the ceiling. Space is approximately 16sqm in total (floor is 2400 x 980mm, ceiling hight is 2500mm).

I am looking for an experienced waterproofer and tiler to do a small bathroom (4.4 square metres) half wall tiles and floor tiles

Have a slight damage at corner of shower and are considering replacing the whole shower and fix floor issue together. I have spare floor tiles(or get new tiles) and can supply wall tiles as needed to tile the area around shower and the shower walls. Aim to keep shower/taps/plumbing as is. Will need to replace the underfloor and waterproof the area before installing the new shower base. Can supply shower base/cubicle & underfloor/plasterboard or pay for them as needed. Suitable waterproofing supplies, tile grout/cement & tools need to be supplied by tradie. I am considering doing 1. full reno vs 2. replacing just floor tiles and shower are or 3. patch fix of problem space. Pls suggest prices and want to move quick. Budget of $4000 is for Option 2 above and happy to change my mind.

I need a BPC Roofing and Waterproofing qualified roof plumber to replace the tiles and waterproofing membrane on a townhouse balcony to prevent further water damage downstairs. The current balcony waterproofing system has failed and requires rectification. Tiles need to be stripped as required and a new external waterproofing system is installed in accordance with AS 4654.1 Waterproofing membranes to be used for external above-ground use (eg - Materials and AS 4654.2) Design and installation as per National Construction Code (NCC) requirements Attention given to the balcony door threshold/hob, waterproofing terminations, upturns, penetrations and drainage interfaces to ensure the completed balcony is fully watertight Tiling or other compliant waterproof surface to replace existing balcony tiles. Current drainage connection and piping is in tact and working.

Water proof laundry with certificate as well as floor tiling, tile skirt to 1 side of room & caulking. Total lay area is 8.5m2 (600 x 600 tiles, room is 4.25m x 1.7m with 300mm high tile skirt needed on 4.25m length). Floor is currently 19mm structural fibre cement sheet. No drain in floor. Aluminium angle required between existing floor boards and tile transition. Tiles are on site and job is ready to go.

Following recent complaint from neighbouring Unit about damp wall had Plumber investigate. Report indicates "Spray tested shower cubicle and found immediate water escaping through grout lines. • Used thermal imaging and confirmed water tracking from shower area, likely beneath tiles, contributing to water ingress into neighbouring property." Think shower walls and base need grouting and waterproofing then rebuild of shower including tiles and walls and probably new shower screen. We think physical inspection needed to provide accurate quote.
