Waterproofing: Apply a certified waterproofing over shower base, corners/bond breakers, and puddle flange. Install to Australian Standard. Compliance Certificate: Must provide a Waterproofing Certificate of Compliance (Form 12 / Warranty) upon completion. Screed & Tiling: Re-screed floor to fall, lay new floor tiles (and lower wall tiles), apply flexible grout, and seal perimeter with neutral-cure sanitary silicone. I need remedial work to the euro laundry in my apartment in Bentleigh. A plumbing inspection arranged through the insurer identified a tear in the waterproofing membrane immediately next to the laundry floor-waste penetration under my laundry tiles. Testing reproduced water passing through the floor/structure into the unit below. I’m looking for someone experienced in laundry repairs, tiling and waterproofing to: - Remove and dispose of the existing laundry vanity/trough. - Repair the failed waterproofing membrane around the floor-waste penetration and reinstate the waterproofing appropriately to the floor. - ideally do this without replacing the floor tiles - Prepare the floor as required and install new floor tiles over the repaired waterproofing though, if necessary. - Supply and install a new laundry vanity/trough. - Reconnect the plumbing and test the connections for leaks. I have the insurer’s plumbing inspection report available and can provide it if needed. Please provide a quote for all work and explain whether the entire laundry floor needs to be removed and re-waterproofed, or whether a more targeted repair is possible. Form correct falls towards the shower waste, with a minimum fall of 1:80 within the shower area, subject to site conditions and applicable requirements. Allow appropriate curing time before waterproofing. 2. Waterproofing Supply and apply a compliant waterproofing membrane system to the bathroom floor and required wet-area walls. We have the rain water falling on the deck and sipping through the floor under it which is mostly bricks and dirt, we need to waterproof the top of the brick bed, under the boards 1. Remove the deck boards we are already happy to do this. 2. Clean the bricks and fill any loose or open joints so the surface is reasonsbly flat. 3. Lay a membrane over the bricks, with a fall toward the slab drain. Sheet membranes for decks or a liquid-applied membrane both work. The fall can be achieved by adding a sand or mortar screed over the bricks before the membrane goes down. 4. Turn the membrane up at the wall and seal it to the masonry, so water can't run behind it 5. Seal around each post or bearer support with a membrane collar or flashing. Don't cut the membrane tight and leave it open. Each penetration is a potential leak. 6. Reinstall the boards on battens or spacers so there's an air and drainage gap above the membrane. Water drops through the boards, runs along the membrane, and goes to the drain.

The wall is 5000mm by 500mm height. Needs: 1/ Lightly grind to surface as to clean & allow for mechanical key. 2/ Using a repair mortar apply as required to various holes as required. 3/ Apply 2 x coats of a high grade cementitious membrane designed for negative side to area as required. Supply all materials and labour Dispose of all rubbish.

I’m not sure whether it’s coming from the shower screen seal, grout, waste drain or waterproofing membrane. Could you inspect and identify the source of the leak before recommending repairs? I have an upstairs tiled balcony with a large aluminium sliding door. There is a visible gap and deterioration along the bottom of the door frame/threshold only, and I believe water is getting through this area and leaking into the ceiling downstairs. I’m looking for someone experienced in balcony waterproofing, sliding door thresholds and water ingress repairs to properly diagnose and repair the issue. There have been previous attempts to seal the bottom of the frame with silicone or similar material, which has now deteriorated and separated. This old material will likely need to be removed and the area properly cleaned back before repairing it. I do not want another layer of silicone applied over the existing problem. I’m looking for a proper long-term repair that addresses how water is getting underneath the bottom of the frame. I would strongly prefer the door and frame to remain in place if possible. The frame is solidly plastered into the wall internally and the external render finishes directly against it, so removing the whole frame would create considerable additional work. Job to include: * Inspect the bottom threshold/frame only and identify where water is entering * Remove failed silicone/sealant and previous repair material as required * Inspect the junction between the frame, balcony tiles and waterproofing * Repair/reinstate suitable waterproofing, flashing, membrane or sealing as required * Neatly finish the area and water test if practical There are no known issues with the top or sides of the door. Water proof laundry with certificate as well as floor tiling, tile skirt to 1 side of room & caulking. Total lay area is 8.5m2 (600 x 600 tiles, room is 4.25m x 1.7m with 300mm high tile skirt needed on 4.25m length). Floor is currently 19mm structural fibre cement sheet. No drain in floor. Aluminium angle required between existing floor boards and tile transition. Tiles are on site and job is ready to go.
