Cd player not working properly

I recently bought a beautiful 1950s radiogram that I am going to gift my partner for his birthday. There are a few minor issues with the piece, but overall, in an amazing condition for its age. Attaching a few pictures for your reference and listing the issues: slightly intermittent speaker sound when you turn the dial (you have to turn it carefully to hit the sound) a crack in the turntable base (see photo) the sound system is bassy, so I'm wondering if you could support with adjusting the speaker/recommending what to add to make the sound clearer? general MOT I have until the start of May to make the adjustments if that aligns with your timelines.

At the back of the hifi where the speaker wire goes is broke. when I put the wire in no sounds comes out the right speakers but the left side works

I inherited a Technics hifi stack which was fully functioning. I moved it to my flat and plugged everything back in as labelled and now it produces no sound and no visual EQ levels. I've stripped the speaker wires to make sure it's not the connection. Since it was working before the (very gentle) move I can't imagine it's a difficult fix. I'd like someone to come in to repair or diagnose the issue if it is more serious.

I want system diagnostics please from someone with experience please. Our hifi system has stopped working partially. We have to take it off dolbi surround 5.1 in settings in any given streaming service or on TV to be able to hear the voice track. then the sound is fine but flattened. Furthermore, we have tried unplugging and re-plugging everything, but the issue may be down to at least an amp and the centre speaker needing a repair. I need someone to double check this please, before I pay for expensive repairs in case they don't need them. I also need to know if there is something else that we have not been able to deduce.
